Devil Woman by TristanBerndtArt Devil Woman by TristanBerndtArt
"She's just a devil woman
With evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman
She's gonna get you"

My latest painting. Don't we all just love evil looking women? <3
Trying to come up with some characters to occupy a fantasy world I have in my head. Might flesh it out further and make it into something
Anyway, hope you guys like it <3

Thanks!
Yeah, I'll be developing all of this a lot more in a month or so when I have more time (will repaint this then and fix the dumb anatomy issues). I'm developing a lot of characters, environments and whatnot in my sketchbook and they're just waiting to be painted. Not totally sure what will come out of all of this. Maybe a free webcomic, maybe a short film, maybe some free downloadable e-book. If I can find a good indie game company I might be able to develop this into an old school action/dark fantasy RPG.
I'll be continuously updating everyone on dA and whatever other sites I'm on so you guys can tag along (and maybe help out once things have started rolling). :)

Don't worry your anatomy isn't dumb.  You don't learn if you don't mess it up (trust me, some of my sketches, honestly! haha)
I am interested in all this character and world development you speak of.  I am going through pretty much the same process with my characters and worlds, and it always interests and inspires me to see others' creations.
I'll certainly follow along, you have amazing designs already and I'll defiantly help out if needed :D

I saw this coming by on the forum and had to check it out up close.. I love the background and her horns, the colors are also beautifully in harmony. I did notice a few things anatomy wise: Her hips seem slightly manly because they're smaller than her stomach (which is often the case on men but not with women), her torso is also too large in comparison to her legs and even her chest looks kind of manly (almost flat). It's probably because you didn't pay much attention to gravity and natural curves, her body doesn't have a natural flow and looks rather stiff, this is something that you can adjust really easily when you're still at the sketching stage. I do LOVE the textures you use.

If you ever need any feedback or help with your anatomy you can ring me up ;)

Hello! ^7^/
Your coloring is so lovely!!
She looks so awesome!
The only critique I have for you is the way you curved her stomach.
When the stomach is curved the other top half has to curve too. That means that you have to make sure the breasts also rise so it can follow the movement of the stomach.
Right now it looks more as though she just has a gut.
Everytime the stomach moves so does the top half move which means the stomach up till the shoulder also moves.
sta.sh/01nmf2lhogto << Here's a visual of what I mean.
I shaded in blue where you have the freedom to do the bending but remember when you bend the stomach you also have to follow up by bending from the stomach till the shoulders.
Also, just showed what happens when you curve the stomach,
I would reccomend seeing some reference or tutorials with bending the body.
Great illustration! :3

I was sort of hoping there would be a reference to that song when I loaded this picture, haha.
It's nice though - I like the way you worked the background most.

Love that song!
The background really helps the image. Without those vertical lines, the composition would be very bad. They pull the eye faster across the image and breaks the flow where she is to make your eye look at her and not the big empty space around her. I realized that the comp was bad halfway into the image so I really just needed to improvise something to make it not suck. Glad you like it!

So beautiful! I like the colours and how she's floating. I also like the background, very nice textures. :)
